Tanner was raised in Cameron Park, a small town in northern California. He grew up playing many sports, primarily soccer, but focused on football and track & field during his time at Ponderosa High School. Tanner was captain of both the varsity football team and varsity track & field team as a senior, also earning a varsity letter in soccer and cross country. He continued his education at the University of California in San Diego, where he played for the school’s club rugby team and graduated this past spring with a degree in Human Biology.
Tanner developed a passion for rehabilitation through a number of personal injuries, including a broken collarbone, getting hit in the face with a chainsaw, and getting hit by a car that was going 60 miles per hour. He was inspired by the individuals who were influential in his recoveries and plans to pursue a career in chiropractic or physical therapy so that he can help people achieve their optimal health. Tanner is very grateful for the opportunity to work with such a great team at Core Performance Physical Therapy and to offer a positive contribution to the lives of patients.
In his free time, Tanner enjoys making memories with friends and family, going to church, playing guitar, traveling, exercising, and being in the great outdoors. Tanner has hiked Half Dome and Mt. Whitney, bike toured through both Washington and Oregon, and he has his sights set on climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro next!
