Dr. Jesse Byington has been a dedicated health and wellness professional going back to his time
in undergrad while in North Dakota, where he began as a scholarship athlete to play baseball
until injuries shortened his playing career and began a new interest in health, wellness,
performance and recovery. While at the University of Jamestown Jesse spent time as a head
athletic training student aid assisting with the Men’s hockey, football, and baseball teams, as
well as the Women’s soccer, volleyball and basketball teams on the field and off the field.
During this time Jesse also began his path in the performance world working as a personal
training and coaching CrossFit.
Upon return home to Orange County after graduating with a bachelors degree in Exercise
Science, Jesse began working here at Core taking on many roles in his 2 years including many of
the roles our now Lead and Executive Lead aids now carry out on a daily basis. During his time
before starting his Physical Therapy education, Jesse became a CrossFit Level 1 coach as well as
competing in Olympic Weightlifting!
After his short break here in Orange County, Jesse then attended East Tennessee State
University to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and gain experience, expertise
and love for treating everyday orthopedic, and neurological conditions as well as his continued
passion for working with athletes of all kinds from weekend warriors, competitive athletes,
weight lifters, golfers, and his niche of overhead athletes of all kinds.
Upon finishing his Physical Therapy Education, Jesse decided to return home to become apart
of our star-studded staff and help bolster our patient care for all our amazing patients. Since
returning home Jesse has expanded his expertise and added to his wealth of knowledge by
obtaining his Titlist Performance Institute Level 1 certification and soon to be complete USA
weightlifting and Certified Strength and Condition Specialist certifications to better help serve
all individuals with their goals of returning to their desired passions outside of PT.
When not in the clinic, you can find Jesse on the beach attempting to surf, playing beach
volleyball, on the golf course or baseball field, and on the weightlifting platform competing!
Jesse is dedicated to helping everyone he encounters fulfilling their passion for health,
wellness, and performance while providing you with the necessary education, tools and
knowledge to return to or start you next journey!
