Dr. Amer Dandashi, DPT

Physical Therapist

Amer Dandashi was born and raised in Tustin, CA.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2015.  During his undergraduate career, Amer had the opportunity to participate in SDSU’s Adaptive Fitness Clinic, a community outreach program that provides fitness services to individuals living with a range of disabilities and diagnoses including cerebral palsy and stroke.  Seeing individuals find happiness by regaining mobility and function solidified his career aspirations to become a physical therapist.  Amer then went on to receive his clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, San Marcos in 2019.  During his didactic education, Amer gained experience in a variety of physical therapy settings including inpatient acute care, post-operative care, outpatient orthopedics, aquatic therapy, as well as sports and performance.

Amer enjoys seeing his patients progress towards their goals and believes in patient-centered care.  He believes patient education is a key component to reaching successful outcomes.  His treatment approach utilizes strength and conditioning principles, neuromuscular reeducation, a variety of manual techniques such as spinal and extremity joint manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue, instrument assisted techniques.

When Amer isn’t treating patients at Core Performance PT he enjoys traveling the world, hiking, and rooting on his favorite sports teams, the LA Chargers, and LA Lakers.
