Physical Therapy Aide
Paolo grew up in the Philippines until the age of 14. Then, he and his family migrated to the United States in 2005. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from California State Los Angeles. After college, he worked as a physical therapist aide for a year at a clinic in West Los Angeles. After gaining experience and gathering all requirements, he applied and got into the FLEX Doctor of Physical Therapy program at University of St. Augustine (San Marcos) where he is currently pursuing his doctorate degree.
His interest in physical therapy started after his father had an open-heart surgery and needed physical therapy right after. He saw first-hand how physical therapy helped his father regain his old joyful self and from then on, he decided that physical therapy is what he wanted to do.
When he has free time from school and work, he stays active by playing basketball and exercising. Moreover, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to music festivals, and watching movies.
