Dr. Sheralyn Johnson, DPT
Sheralyn was born and raised in Granite Bay, CA, located in Northern California. Growing up, she always enjoyed being active and playing sports, spending the majority of her time outside of school playing competitive volleyball year-round, including both indoor and beach volleyball. Sheralyn attended the University of Arizona where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies and Human Development in 2014, with the goal of further pursuing a higher degree. During her undergraduate studies, she had the opportunity to volunteer in various settings in the health care field, until she began working as an aide at an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Tucson, AZ. Through this experience and with her love for sports, she found her passion for physical therapy and decided to further pursue a career as a physical therapist.
Sheralyn received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA. During her schooling, she had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings, from training professional athletes to working in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, heavily centered around neurological disorders. She discovered her optimal passion and joy in physical therapy in an outpatient setting, which is the perfect balance for her to help make a difference in her patients’ daily activities. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and optimistic attitude with her patients to optimize functional movement, encouraging patients to stay active.
During Sheralyn’s free time, she enjoys quality time with her family, spending days at the beach with friends, playing beach volleyball, attending cycling classes, and practicing yoga.
