Physical Therapy Aide
Daniel Marshall was born and raised in Orange County, where he enjoyed a wide range of sports and activities, including water polo, swimming, surfing, snowboarding, soccer and basketball. Daniel attended Corona del Mar High School, where he excelled on the water polo team and was recruited to many of the top Division-1 collegiate water polo programs. Daniel decided to play for the UCLA Bruins, and in 2014 the team won the NCAA National Championship, defeating USC 9-8.
Daniel graduated from UCLA in 2017 and pursued a career in commercial real estate. After 2 years working as a Financial Consultant for a top commercial real estate firm, Daniel had to step away from his job due to persistent post-concussion migraines, fatigue, neck pain and severe light sensitivity. Daniel worked with a great team of healthcare professionals, including neurologists, physical therapists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, chronic pain specialists, and more. Now that Daniel has successfully been treated and is returning to the workforce, he has decided to move towards a career where he can use everything he has learned from his own health issues to help others. As a patient, Daniel learned that it takes a team of doctors to successfully treat the complicated set of symptoms often associated with head injuries, but he believes that a well-trained physical therapist can be the most effective.
Daniel is currently working on his prerequisite courses in order to apply to Doctor of Physical Therapy schools, where he plans to specialize in acute concussion rehab, post-concussion syndrome and chronic pain.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys hiking, swimming in the ocean, reading, listening to music, and playing boardgames and trivia with his friends.
