IASTM is a soft tissue therapy that is used primarily to break up adhesions and scar tissue that form under the skin and in the muscle tissues after an injury or surgery. The advantages of IASTM include decreased time of treatment, faster rehabilitation/recovery, reduced need for anti-inflammatory medicine, reduced occurrence of chronic conditions that are though to be permanent.
